On March 23, 2015. Myself and an incredible team of vendors combined talents to put together a vision I have been working on for the past two months. While looking through a magazine, I came across a gold decorative bowl in the shape of an angel wing. Eureka! From here, the inspiration unfolded.
I knew I wanted to incorporate the gorgeous 2015 Pantone color of the year: Marsala. and I decided that blush would be a great accent color to gold and ivory accents with pops of the burgundy hue.

The industrial trend is huge for 2015 weddings and thought exposed brick, wood and metal would be the perfect backdrop to balance out the chic design I had in mind.
My vision was to really set the stage for the cake. Sweet Cheeks did a fabulous job at creating a cake that demands such attention with tiers that reach high into the sky. The cake took center stage against the gorgeous wood installation and was beautifully draped with market lighting from San Diego Socialights. The result was a sort of gothic, romantic and dramatic display.
A gold and glass jewelry box filled with lush, overflowing blooms and feathers housed the "guest favors" which took the form of vintage perfume bottles. Adorned with tags designed by Flourish Design Co., pulled the theme together with a play on words. "Heaven Scent" and "Scent from Above".
What would a wedding be without some sparkle? Plush sequin pillows, beautiful hanging flowers and a full table scape create a truly luxurious sweetheart table and break the standard of the typical smaller round sweetheart table.
To create our heavenly scene, our composition wouldn't have been complete without loose, garden style symmetrical centerpieces from Exquisite Designs by DLS, flowing feathers and our take on pearly gates provided by Archive Vintage Rentals. Softness and elegance meets rough and industrial.
Candlestick holders aren't just for candles! We placed single blooms inside to add dimension and texture. We also used button mums and silver dollar leaves to create a plush bed for the beautiful gold and glass charger plates. Elevated place settings are seriously a necessity!
